Hello,
I often play SWAM instruments on iOS, one at a time (no DAW) with my Linnstrument connected directly via USB, or my small UA 276 audio interface
That works beautifully… I can play with very little pressure, or a lot, mapped to expression / loudness / bow pressure… It’s amazing
But
I tried to use Logic Pro (again, iPad version), to create tracks and load multiple SWAM instruments
Playing them via the Linnstrument worked, BUT I noticed that it had a lot less sensitivity and sounded more… robotic? It’s as if the values coming from the 5 dimensions were modified before the SWAM instruments received them
I hope this is not too vague. I ran out of my trial (1 month) and am not able to test this some more, and try to narrow down the issue. Maybe there are settings / mapping that get lost when a SWAM instrument is loaded in such a way, or the Linnstrument messages are modified by default by Logic Pro. Again, iPad
I imagine that this setup should work just fine, but I’m missing something…
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
