Instruments • BFD3 question

Is there an easy way to turn off the groove editor/patterns so when I hit the space bar to play the notes in my project, it doesn't start playing a groove within BFD3? I don't see a simple on/off, but maybe its right in front of me.

I normally don't use pre-made patterns, so I'd rather have that part of it switched off, unless I need to enable it here or there.
