This is kind of a rare situation for me but I'm curious if there's a more flexible approach.
I've got a track controlling external hardware, scene 1's clip plays the melody. I recorded an automation of a Midi cc knob in scene 2's clip. What I'd like to do is to keep these independent of each other, so that while my scene 1 melody plays, I can dynamically play the automation in scene 2.
The only way I've been able to do this is to copy the melody clip into scene 2 and then add my automation in scene 2 as well. This works but now any melody change needs to be modified in both clips
(side note: another side motivation here is also to sort of get a preset modified w/o having to use a slot on my hardware, and be able to sort of modify a preset via a clip in the middle of a song)
