I’m a fan.
This is absolutely not derogatory in any way.
I’ll fully admit to my ignorance.
I just…sheesh….listening to the three core releases we all may think of when we think “Clock DVA”….It doesn’t seem like full synth work going on.
It really does sound and feel more like samples/early samplers.
Everything seems so sharp and cold and cut and militant…and not just the overall sequencing.
Again…forgive my ignorance, but it doesn’t seem as ‘organic’ as an old-school synth thing ought be.
The repetitive nature is fine. It’s part of the appeal.
But everything seems so ‘captured’.
Surely, the overwhelming majority, if not everything Clock DVA did over those three amazing albums must have been driven by samples/samplers alone.
Am I mad?
Am I that ignorant?
What did he(Adi)/they actually use?!?
What is known? What do ya really think?
