What are the best rhythm / strumming electric guitar libraries in 2024?
Since Scarbee Funk Guitar, I've never found any convincing-enough electric guitar plugins for strumming for parts along the lines of Nile Rodgers and Cory Wong.
I'm not looking for built-in effects because I already have separate effects plugins, and I want a fully-programmable library, not a pattern/loop-based one (although those can be good). I'm aware of NI's pattern-based plugins.
I have several Orange Tree Samples libraries, which are great for lead sounds, but I've never really enjoyed the strumming (no offense, again, they're great for leads and other parts in my opinion).
I've not enjoyed the Amplesound plugin workflow, but maybe it'd be worth another try.
I also found Sparkle 2.
I'm leaning towards Impact Soundwork's Telecaster or Stratocaster. They seem pretty great even though they clearly need a lot of programming to sound good, but I didn't have enough time with the free Stratocaster to get a sense of the limitations for strumming. I'm sure they're not perfect in any way, but I enjoy that the editing is all in the DAW.
Would anyone have any thoughts on what to look at?
Thanks.
