“Please exit through the Giftshop Ambient collection 2007-2024” includes various tracks that didn’t quite fit with any of the other albums or EPs.
The title track came about after touring various tourist locations in England it seemed that everyone had a sign “Please exit through the Giftshop”. Somehow that seemed to reflect life as a whole.
The sound at the start of “Daydreams of a regretful silviculturist” is the sound of a tree surgeon working here.
“Rockpools & Sandcastles” was started in 2018 and almost completed but I was never happy with it. In 2024 I had a listen and decided to strip out the parts that I didn’t like and the result can be heard here.
